Explaining how the project came about before introducing Noura
Noura is the symbol for adolescent girls in Egypt and represents the Girls Assets Framework.
Adolescence is a tumultuous time for girls, as they physically and emotionally transition into adulthood. It is the time when the foundations for gender roles are laid within their families and communities. Social norms that often deprive girls of making decisions around their lives.

Who is Noura?
Noura is a fictional character, advocating for the fulfillment of every girls’ potential in Egypt.
Adolescence is a tumultuous time for every child, but especially girls. Gender roles will strongly impact their lives, and social norms may have significant implications. If girls stay in school, and are exposed to life skills training, they are able to fulfill their potential. This will lower the risk for girls to be subjected to early marriage, early pregnancy and violence.
